"As an orphan, I have learned family is the people who are in your life to support you. I have been fortunate to have great mentors who helped me see that Giving is more important than Receiving. I was a councilman in Cleaveland first and the city will always hold a place in my heart. I am setting up an organization there called "Little Girl Lost" to help victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking. I will also support the local company Prelude2Cinema in creating jobs using cinema. Last, but not least, I hope to bridge the police and the community together. Senator Ferris is focusing on creating jobs in Cleveland, Ohio with the help of Prelude2Cinema, founded by Emmy Winning writer Alex P. Michaels who is establishing a Cinema Industry to create a sustainable number of cinematic productions that hire local talent and also import talent from Hollywood for movies that will screen all over the world. The current production "Out of Darkness: Cleveland" is funded by private sponsors and businesses who are integrated in the story. Businesses need not be in Cleveland, Ohio but must come aboard before shooting begins to be woven into the storyline.

BRINGING THE POLICE AND COMMUNITY TOGETHER
Senator Ferris believes the Police are Here to Protect and Serve. Yet, in order to truly serve, one has to be involved in the community. In the movie "Out of Darkness: Cleveland," the issue of police and the community will be addressed. A number of real law enforcement officers will be involved in the series.

COMBATING SEXUAL ABUSE AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
While "Out of Darkness: Cleveland" is a fictional story, it does address the very real and sad issue of Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking. This is not a crime that is restricted to any race or country or socially economic status. There are some organizations that combat this and we will seek their advice on creating a realistic story and also partner with them to donate a portion of profits to help their causes and the victims.
